The Hellenic agricultural organization ELGO-DIMITRA approved the cooperation with DNA Sequence SRL through the signing of a Protocol of Cooperation, with the aim of broader cooperation in research and innovation areas and in particular in actions such as supporting the researchers of the Institute of Genetic Improvement and Plant Genetic Resources in actions of common interest related to agrigenomics, metagenomics, molecular biodiversity discrimination and bioinformatics data analysis, and transfer of know-how between the two partners.
First Global Application of Archaeogene Technology in Cooperation with National Technical University of Athens

With a sense of responsibility and honor, DNA Sequence SRL announces the application of Archaeogene technology to contribute in the continuing research of the NTUA Interdisciplinary Team, under the leadership of Prof. A. Moropoulou, concerning the findings on the Holy Aedicule of the Tomb of Christ at the Holy Sepulchre Church in Jerusalem. The company uses cutting-edge technology to provide valuable information on estimating through metagenomics different historic periods deepening the scientific community’s knowledge on the findings and how they were preserved. New Research Project for DNASequence SRL

DNASequence SRL is happy to announce that its research project, titled: “Microbiotic communities detection in archaeological excavation for the documentation of the historical research and new ways of protecting monuments of cultural heritage” within the framework of «RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE » of the operational program: «Competition, entrepreneurship and Innovation », ESPA 2014 – 2020 (EU Funded). The research program is identified with the cutting edge technology of DNASequence, Metagenomics of Built Environments (MBE), that offers solutions in a wide range of issues, among others referring to Archaeology, restoration and conservation of archaeological artifacts. The unique technology of DNASequence SRL will be used in the excavations of Shallalat Gardens in Alexandria, Egypt, by the auspices of Archaeologist Kalliopi Limneou-Papakosta, in order to offer valuable information for the era under examination of the archaeologists on site, and further deepen their knowledge for the artifacts and their way of conservation.

DNASequence SRL is pleased to announce the scientific collaboration with Prof. Ioannis Liritzis, in the subject of Archeogene. Archaeogene offers the archeologists a unique tool that gives them valuable insights into the era their research is focused, further deepen their knowledge on archeological findings and how to preserve them. Prof. Ioannis Liritzis is professor of archaeometry-natural sciences at the University of the Aegean, and Visiting Distinguished Professor at the University of Henan, China (www.huaxiahellas.com). He directs the Laboratory of Archaeometry (he founded in 1999) Director-Coordinator of the Kastrouli Mycenean Settlement archaeological-archaeometrical Project, Member of the European Academy of Sciences & Arts; Corresponding Member of the Academie des Sciences, Arts & Belles Lettres, Dijon, France; Honorary & Guest Professor of Samara State Institute of Culture, Russia; Honorary Fellow Edinburgh University, Honorary Professor Rhodes University, South Africa. His prior career includes the Greek Ministry of Culture (1984–1989) and the Academy of Athens (1989–1999). He is president of the International Delphic Academy (Berlin). His current research interests include: geoarchaeology, bioarchaeology, archaeometry & sustainability, archaeoastronomy. This collaboration gives DNASequence SRL an immense scientific enhancement that sets it apart, and further strengthens its capability footprint.
